Make a Donation

When you give, nearly every penny goes directly to providing recreational programming for at-risk youth in Elgin, IL.

The Elgin Parks and Recreation Foundation is a certified 501(c)3 charitable organization. Our board of directors is 100% volunteer-run, and our board members’ personal donations cover at least 95% of administrative costs during most years. If you choose to designate your gift to a particular fund, like historic parks or the Recreation Youth Scholarship Fund, 100% of that donation is reserved for the cause of your choice.

“I would like to thank the donors for their generosity. I pray that God may continue blessing them for having such big hearts to help their neighbor.”

Leave a Legacy

Leave a legacy by making a planned gift to the Foundation through your will, trust, life insurance, securities, or charitable annuity. Your donations will support the improvement and beauty of our historic parks in the future, ensuring that places like Lord’s Park, Walton Island, and Hawthorne Hill Nature Center will be enjoyed by generations to come.

Sponsor an Event

Our annual fundraising beer fest, Illinois Brews @ Bowes Creek, seeks sponsors every year at levels between $500 and $2,000.

Benefits include: tickets to the event, rounds of golf, advertising, and more, depending on the level. This opportunity is ideal for individuals and companies who want to enjoy a cold beer for a good cause!
